The process of updating the tiers for the 2012-2013 selection process is now complete. See "NEWS" for instructions on calculating the tier for your home address. Selective Enrollment Elementary Schools testing will take place through March to accommodate all eligible applicants; if you do not receive a test notification letter by February 10, 2012, contact the Office of Academic Enhancement. Parents will be notified of the status of their children's applications the week of February 20, 2012 for high school applications and the week of March 23, 2012 for elementary school applications

Project SYNCERE (Supporting Youth's Needs with Core Engineering Research Experiments) is a relatively new non-profit organization that is making a big impact in Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Created in 2008 by three young STEM professionals, Project SYNCERE provides in-school, after-school, and summer experiences to students and professional development for teachers in grades K- 12.
The motto of José de Diego Community Academy is “Be the Best that You Can Be.”

“It is incorporated into everything,” says DeDiego principal Alice Vera. “It is part of our vision and you hear it throughout the school.” Located at 1313 N. Claremont Ave., DeDiego is a community school serving students in preschool through eighth grade. With a wide variety of academic and extracurricular offerings, the school truly provides something for everyone!
